McLean County Regional Planning Commission undertook a major initiative to identify intersections in the community that contribute to the most accidents and deaths for pedestrians and cyclists, then engage the public in a series of think-tank style meetings to propose solutions. The final report needed to be approachable to the general public despite its data-heavy nature. Concepts also needed to be developed to showcase the top public-awareness solutions developed by the citizen think-tanks. The request for Firebrand was to create a name specific to our community, the logo (with the ability to create sub-brands easily for local partners), graphics for the public campaign launch, iconographic library and templates for staff, materials for community partners to use, plus the main report.
This project was a 2021 Graphic Design USA award winner.
